The Savings page at /savings tracks how much waste you have eliminated over time. It combines cumulative realized savings, potential waste from your latest scan, and the open opportunity still available in one place.
What you'll see
| Section | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Hero metric | Total monthly realized savings since your first credited fix |
| Potential waste trend | How estimated monthly waste changed across completed scans, with a summary of whether open waste is trending up or down |
| Open opportunity | Potential savings still available from your latest scan |
| Savings ledger | Every credited resolution with month, finding type, and amount |
Realized savings hero
When you have credited fixes, the hero shows:
You've saved $X/mo since [date]
The date is when your first finding was resolved and credited. The amount is the sum of monthly savings from all resolved findings in your workspace — the same total shown on the dashboard.
When you have no credited fixes yet, the hero explains that Parsivex verifies fixes automatically on your next scan. See Realized savings for how credits work.
Potential waste trend chart
The trend chart plots the estimated monthly savings recorded on each completed scan (totalMonthlyWaste), oldest to newest. Each point is an immutable snapshot — the same headline value shown on that scan's report. A summary callout highlights whether open waste is trending up or down across the selected range. Hover any point to see the exact value and change from the previous scan.
Use the scan range selector to focus on recent scans. Click any point to open that scan's full report. A downward trend means less open waste remains — it is separate from the realized savings ledger, which tracks fixes you have already verified.
Potential savings = waste still present on your latest scan. Realized savings = waste you eliminated and Parsivex verified between scans. Both appear on this page.
Open opportunity
The open opportunity card shows total potential monthly savings from your latest completed scan. This is the same headline number as the dashboard's "Potential monthly savings" card.
Click Review findings inbox → to prioritize fixes. As you resolve findings, open opportunity should decrease on future scans while realized savings grow.
Savings ledger
The ledger lists every credited resolution in your workspace:
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Month | Calendar month when the finding was resolved |
| Finding type | The waste category (EC2, EBS, S3, etc.) |
| Amount | Monthly savings credited for that fix |
Each finding is credited exactly once. Dismissed findings are never credited. See Realized savings for the full credit rules.
Recurring scans required
Realized savings tracking requires recurring scans so Parsivex can compare each successful scan to the previous one and detect when waste disappears.
On the free plan, the page shows an upgrade banner for Monitoring. One-off scans show potential savings but cannot automatically verify fixes or credit realized savings.
Dashboard link
The dashboard no longer shows the full savings trend chart or detailed realized savings card. Instead, a compact Realized savings summary links to this page with View savings →.
