Manage your subscription, understand cancellation and payment status behavior, and get help with billing questions.

How do I manage billing?

Go to Billing (/settings/billing) while signed in — from the sidebar under Manage, or via the command palette (⌘K / Ctrl+K). Click Manage billing to open the Stripe customer portal, where you can:

  • Update your payment method
  • View and download invoices
  • Change your subscription plan
  • Cancel your subscription

Parsivex does not store your card details — Stripe handles all payment data.

What happens when I cancel?

When your subscription is canceled (or reaches the end of a billing period after cancellation), Parsivex updates your account features immediately.

Paid features are removed right away. Your account falls back to the Free plan:

  • Full findings list is hidden again
  • Recurring scans, alerts, remediation scripts, and PDF export are disabled
  • Scan limit drops to 1 per month
  • AWS account, seat, and workspace limits drop to Free tier caps

Your existing scan history and reports remain in your account. You can still run one scan per month on Free and see your total savings estimate.

What happens if my payment fails?

If a renewal payment fails, Parsivex treats the subscription the same way as a cancellation: paid features drop to the Free plan immediately.

There is currently no grace period — you lose paid features as soon as your subscription is no longer active. Update your payment method in the Stripe customer portal to restore your plan.

You may see a status badge next to your plan name in Billing (/settings/billing) when your subscription is not active.

How do scan limits work?

Each plan includes a monthly scan allowance:

Usage resets on the first day of each calendar month at 00:00 UTC. Parsivex counts every scan you start in the current month against your limit — including failed scans.

When you reach your limit, the Run new scan button is disabled and you see a usage meter on the dashboard. Wait until the next month or upgrade for a higher allowance.

Can I upgrade mid-cycle?

Yes. If you already have an active subscription and choose a higher plan, Parsivex opens the Stripe customer portal with a subscription update confirmation flow. Stripe prorates the charge for the remainder of your billing period.

To upgrade:

  1. Go to Billing → Manage billing (/settings/billing), or click an Upgrade card in the app
  2. Confirm the plan change in Stripe
  3. Your new plan features take effect as soon as Stripe confirms the update (usually within seconds)

Downgrading follows the same portal flow. Stripe applies downgrades according to its billing rules — typically at the end of the current period.

I am on Free — how do I subscribe?

Visit Pricing and choose Monthly Monitoring or Team Plan. You will be guided through Stripe Checkout. After payment succeeds, your plan features update automatically.

Account deletion and billing

Deleting your Parsivex account cancels any active Stripe subscription immediately with no refund. See the security FAQ for full account deletion details.
