Parsivex generates a savings report after every successful scan. You can view it privately while signed in, share a read-only link with teammates, or download a PDF. What each view includes depends on authentication and your plan.
Authenticated report vs public share link
| Authenticated report | Public share link | |
|---|---|---|
| Sign-in required | Yes | No — anyone with the link can view |
| Finding actions | Dismiss, snooze, reopen | None — read-only |
| Remediation scripts | Yes, on paid plans | Never — stripped for security |
| PDF download | Yes, on paid plans | No |
| Plan-gated findings | Full findings on paid plans | May show redacted findings on free accounts |
Authenticated report
Open any completed scan from your dashboard or scan history. The authenticated view is your working copy:
- See all findings included in your plan
- Dismiss or snooze findings that are intentional — see Finding lifecycle
- Expand remediation scripts on paid plans (ready-to-run AWS CLI commands with safety warnings)
- Download a PDF on paid plans
- Copy a shareable link to send the public version to others
Public share link
Click Copy link on your report hero to copy the public URL. Share it with finance, leadership, or external auditors who do not need a Parsivex account.
Public reports show findings, severity, savings estimates, and plain-English descriptions. They are designed for visibility, not for taking action in AWS.
Remediation scripts include live AWS resource IDs and destructive CLI commands (terminate instances, delete volumes, etc.). Parsivex always strips remediation scripts from public links — regardless of your plan. This is a security measure, not a plan restriction.
If you need fix scripts, open the signed-in report while signed in.
PDF export (paid)
Paid plans (Monthly Monitoring and Team) include PDF export.
- Click Download PDF in the report header on the authenticated view
- The PDF mirrors your authenticated report content for that scan
- Free plans see an upgrade prompt instead of the download button
PDFs include findings, savings totals, and scan metadata. Remediation scripts are included when your plan includes them.
Dismiss and snooze: authenticated only
Finding lifecycle actions are only available on your signed-in report. Public viewers cannot dismiss, snooze, or reopen findings.
This keeps lifecycle decisions tied to your workspace account. A colleague viewing a share link sees the report as it was generated — they cannot change your dismiss/snooze state.
Sharing best practices
| Scenario | Recommended approach |
|---|---|
| Share savings totals with leadership | Copy the public share link |
| Fix AWS resources | Use the authenticated report with remediation scripts |
| Track resolution over time | Stay signed in — dismiss/snooze and watch realized savings on the dashboard |
| Archive for compliance | Download PDF on a paid plan |
Public report links remain valid as long as the underlying scan and report exist in your workspace. Deleting your account removes all reports and share links.
