Your dashboard

Executive KPIs, grouped sidebar navigation, and app-wide shortcuts for the authenticated Parsivex workspace.

Last updated July 15, 2026

The dashboard at app.parsivex.com (/) is your home base after onboarding. Parsivex uses a grouped sidebar, executive KPI strip, and dedicated pages so you can reach findings, alerts, and savings in one or two clicks.

Dashboard states

What you see depends on where you are in the setup and scan lifecycle:

StateWhat you seeHow you get here
OnboardingRedirect to the onboarding wizardNo AWS connection yet, or connection not verified
No scan"Ready to find savings" card with Start ScanAWS connected and verified, but no scan has been run
RunningProgress bar with phase label (Collecting → Analysing → Building report)A scan is in progress
FailedError message with Try Again buttonThe latest scan did not complete successfully
CompleteExecutive summary with KPIs, report snapshot, and previewsAt least one scan has completed successfully
LoadingSkeleton placeholdersData is still loading from the API

If you are stuck in onboarding, finish connecting and verifying your IAM role first. The dashboard unlocks once verification succeeds.

Executive summary (complete dashboard)

After your first successful scan, the dashboard is designed as a quick morning check-in — key numbers above the fold, with deeper detail on dedicated pages.

Monitoring posture (hero)

The dashboard opens on monitoring posture, not an uncollected-money figure. After your first successful scan, the hero card summarizes whether Parsivex is actively watching your account:

PlanHero frameExample
Paid (Monitoring / Team)Days monitored, last scan, next scheduled scan, lifetime spikes caught, open alerts94 days · 6 hours ago · in 18 hours · 3 spikes caught · 0 open alerts
FreeOne-time scan snapshot with last scan, potential waste, and findings discoveredOne-time scan · 6 hours ago · $420/mo · 12 findings

This is designed as a quick morning check-in — are we watching, is everything quiet, when did we last look — rather than leading with how much money you have not collected yet.

Money and inbox metrics (secondary strip)

Potential waste and realized savings are secondary tiles below the posture hero, alongside Open findings and Unacked alerts. Each shows the current value, a delta vs the previous completed scan (or “First scan — no comparison yet” when only one scan has finished), and links to the relevant page:

KPILinks to
Potential waste/savings — estimated monthly waste from your latest scan
Realized savings/savings — verified monthly savings from resolved findings
Open findings/findings — issues waiting in your inbox
Unacked alerts/alerts — cost anomalies you have not acknowledged

On plans without findings inbox or anomaly alerts, the related KPIs show a dash until you upgrade. See Plan comparison.

Latest scan report

A summary card shows monthly waste, finding count, and scan date from your most recent completed scan, plus a by category breakdown (Compute, Storage, Network, Database). Use Open full report → for the detailed report. On plans with PDF export, Download PDF appears on the card as well.

Top opportunities and active alerts

A two-column preview (desktop) shows:

  • Top opportunities — up to three open findings ranked by estimated monthly savings. Each row shows the savings figure and a View fix link into the findings inbox (where remediation scripts live). View all → opens the full inbox.
  • Active cost alerts — up to three unacknowledged cost anomalies, with View all → to the alerts inbox.

When there are no open findings or alerts, the dashboard uses proper empty states with next-step links instead of bare placeholder text.

Full lists, filters, and actions live on those dedicated pages — not duplicated on the dashboard.

Recent activity

Below the summary sections, the dashboard shows your five most recent scans with status, date, and savings total. Click View all to open the full history page at /history.

From scan history you can open any completed scan's report, see which scans failed and why, and compare savings trends across multiple scans. See How scans work for scan lifecycle details.

The left sidebar groups destinations by job. Locked items show an upgrade tooltip; some show live badges.

The workspace switcher at the top of the sidebar changes which workspace's data you see. Dashboard, history, findings, and integrations all reflect the active workspace.

App-wide shortcuts

These controls appear in the app header on every page — you do not need to return to the dashboard to use them.

Below the header on desktop (and condensed on mobile), breadcrumbs show where you are — for example Dashboard → Findings or Settings → Team. Click any segment to jump back without using the sidebar.

Command palette (⌘K / Ctrl+K)

Press ⌘K on Mac or Ctrl+K on Windows/Linux, or click Search in the header. The palette lets you:

  • Jump to any sidebar destination
  • Open account, team, billing, and integrations settings
  • Run a scan, download the latest PDF report, or acknowledge all open cost alerts
  • Open popular help articles

Type to filter commands. Locked destinations still appear with an upgrade hint.

Ask about your bill

Click the sparkle icon in the app header (next to the notifications bell — it is labelled Ask about your bill) or Cost Assistant in the sidebar to open the same chat drawer. You can ask questions about your latest scan, findings, and AWS spend — answers are grounded in your workspace data, not generic advice.

Deep links such as /chat?prompt=… (for example from Ask about this finding in the findings inbox) open the drawer on the page you came from instead of navigating to a separate full-page chat.

Suggested starter questions appear when you open a new conversation. Past conversations are listed at the top of the panel so you can pick up where you left off. Paid plans include a daily message limit; the panel shows how many messages you have used today.

Free plans can open the panel but see an upgrade card instead of the chat input. See Plan comparison for chat limits by tier.

Notification bell

The bell icon next to Run scan opens your in-app notification center. It surfaces recent scan completions and cost alert activity so you can jump to the relevant page without hunting through history. Unread items show a count badge.

Settings and integrations

Configuration is split by concern instead of one long settings page:

DestinationRouteWhat you configure
Integrations/integrationsAWS account connections and connection health
Monitoring/settings/monitoringScan schedule (frequency, day, hour, timezone)
Alerts/settings/alertsEmail recipients, notification categories, Slack webhook
Account/settings/accountProfile, workspace preferences, and account deletion
Team/settings/teamInvite teammates (Team plan)
Billing/settings/billingSubscription, plan, and Stripe customer portal

Visiting /settings redirects to Account. Open Account and Billing from the user menu (click your email in the sidebar footer).

For IAM setup or connection troubleshooting, start at Integrations or see the AWS access articles.

Running a new scan

Use Run scan in the sidebar footer (or mobile header). It is disabled while a scan is already running. Each new scan re-inventories your resources and may surface new findings or mark old ones as resolved.
