Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Parsivex's website and application (together, the "Service"), operated by Parsivex ApS, a company registered in Denmark ("Parsivex," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization, and "you" refers to both you and that organization.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Parsivex connects to your AWS account using a read-only IAM role you create, scans it for cost-saving opportunities, and generates a report of findings and estimated monthly savings. Parsivex offers:

  • Free Scan — one scan per AWS account, at no cost, with no credit card required
  • Monthly Monitoring and Team Plan — paid subscriptions that unlock full findings, remediation guidance, recurring scans, and additional features described on our pricing page

3. The Free Scan Offer

  • The free scan is limited to one scan per AWS account, per lifetime — it does not renew monthly. We use technical measures, including rate limiting and checks tied to your AWS account ID and email address, to enforce this limit and prevent abuse.
  • The free scan report shows your total estimated monthly waste, total finding count, and a breakdown by waste category. Individual finding details, specific AWS resource identifiers, exact per-finding savings, and remediation steps are available only on a paid plan.
  • We may change what is included in the free scan at any time, on a going-forward basis.

4. Accounts and Registration

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at hello@parsivex.com if you suspect unauthorized use.

We may block or reject signups that use disposable or invalid email addresses, or that we reasonably believe are intended to circumvent the free scan limit or otherwise abuse the Service.

5. AWS Account Access

  • You grant Parsivex access to your AWS account solely by creating a read-only IAM role and providing us the Role ARN and an External ID, as described on our Security & Trust page.
  • Parsivex cannot create, modify, or delete any resource in your AWS account. Any remediation scripts we generate are for you to review and run yourself — Parsivex never executes them on your behalf.
  • You may revoke our access at any time by deleting the IAM role from your AWS console. Deleting your Parsivex account does not automatically remove the IAM role from AWS — you must remove it separately.

6. Subscriptions and Billing

  • Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring monthly basis through our payment processor, Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us, via Stripe, to charge your payment method on each renewal until you cancel.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Billing, which opens the Stripe customer portal.
  • If your payment fails or your subscription is canceled, your account reverts to the Free plan immediately — paid features (full findings, recurring scans, alerts, remediation scripts, PDF export) are disabled and your scan limit drops to the free-tier lifetime allowance. There is no grace period.
  • Fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as we may agree to in our sole discretion.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to access, scan, or connect an AWS account you do not own or are not authorized to manage
  • Attempt to circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or the free scan restriction, including by creating multiple accounts, using disposable email addresses, or rotating AWS account IDs
  • Reverse engineer, resell, or use the Service to build a competing product
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service, including through automated scripting that exceeds reasonable use
  • Use the Service in violation of any applicable law

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, and content (excluding your own data), is owned by Parsivex and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. You retain ownership of the AWS account data you connect; we process it solely to provide the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. Parsivex identifies potential cost savings based on automated analysis of your AWS account; we do not guarantee that any specific savings will be realized, that findings are complete or error-free, or that recommended changes will not affect your infrastructure. You are solely responsible for reviewing and testing any remediation steps before applying them.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PARSIVEX AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR AWS COSTS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR (B) 100 USD.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Parsivex harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party's rights, including unauthorized use of an AWS account you do not own.

12. Term and Termination

These Terms remain in effect while you use the Service. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Settings → Danger zone. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, engage in abuse, or if required by law. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately; Sections 8 through 11 and any other provisions that by their nature should survive will survive termination.

13. Changes to the Service or These Terms

We may modify the Service or these Terms at any time. If we make material changes to these Terms, we will notify you by email or through the Service before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Denmark, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Denmark, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law.

15. Miscellaneous

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Parsivex regarding the Service. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets; you may not assign your rights under these Terms without our consent.
